Succeeding in Health 1
To succeed in Health 1, students must...
- do ALL of the assignments and submit them on time.
- be capable of independent work. As there are no regular in-person class sessions, it is possible for a student to become disconnected from the class, fall behind in the course work, and earn a low grade or have to drop the class.
- mistakenly believe that online Health 1 is easier than the in-person class. The college demands that all online courses be identical to in-person courses except for method of delivery.
- mistakenly believe that since they know how to use the Internet they possess sufficient academic skill to succeed in an online class.
- not open their course e-mail regularly and thus lose contact with the course.
- be taking more than 15 units, mistakenly thinking that an online course is less work than an in-person class.
- take only Health 1 and thereby limit their engagement in their college work
- are beginning college for the first time and are unaware of the demands of college work
