Experiment with different times:
Early morning;
Lunch time;
Before bed.
Experiment with different quiet places.
During your practice week
If you find your mind wandering,
Don't worry about it.
The mind always wanders.
That is the nature of mind.
The goal of Anchoring is to notice
That your mind is wandering
And to re-focus your attention
On your Anchor-place.
If you find yourself frustrated
That you "can't stop your mind from thinking,"
Remember the Lesson of the Puppy Dog
After you have mastered Anchoring for two minutes each time
Increase your Anchoring-time to five minutes.
When you're comfortable with five minutes,
Increase to 10 minutes.
See if you can make it a daily ritual
to Anchor for 20 minutes.
